(More customer reviews)I used this new Quick Gel 50 SPF from Bull Frog this past summer. I have loved Bull Frog's products. However this one leaves your hands sticky, even after washing them. Not sure why this is, but it is definitely a nuisance. Other than that it works well.

(More customer reviews)I first tried Bullfrog when I was working outside for 4 hours at a time at a swim meet as an official. I borrowed someone else's sunblock, which happened to be Bullfrog. It is sweatproof, and I have never found any better product to guard against prolonged exposure to the sun.

Bullfrog Mosquito Coast SPF 30 Sunblock with Insect Repellant - 4.7 oz. Review

(More customer reviews)This was my first time buying a "spray on" sunscreen. I purchased it because it is also a DEET-free mosquito repellent. I have very fair skin and I am a mosquito magnet. I was outside, in the grass and sunshine, for about two hours. I did not burn. I did not get bit. I was thrilled that I could apply sunscreen to my own back simply by spraying it over my shoulder.
Mosquito Coast has a rather pleasant smell and goes on light--no heavy, greasy feeling. It dries pretty quick too.
I think the previous reviewer had difficulty with the sunscreen because
1) They were out on the water, which always intensifies sun exposure
2) Most people do not understand how sunblock works. My base time to burn (how long it takes with no base tan and no sunblock on) is about 10 minutes. A sunblock of 30 SPF gives me 30 x's that much time--about five hours before I start to burn. If I am out in water or more intense sun, that time is shortened. Reapplying sunscreen does NOT add to your time. If you are swimming, re-applying makes sure that you are still covered in sunblock, that it hasn't washed off, but it will not give you additional time before you burn.

(More customer reviews)Bull Frog Gel dries quickly and offers long-lasting waterproof protection. It does feel a little tacky at first, but after wearing it for some time, I do not feel like I have it on.
Since it is a gel, it has an alcohol base, which can sting the eyes and burn the nose, if you get it close enough to inhale. I suggest it not be used on the face and another sunscreen be used there. It does have a tendency to peel when the dried sunscreen is rubbed, and that can be a little unsightly.

(though I would suggest the regular bullfrog gel is preferred for first application.) the spray is great for follow up applications. it really is quick to apply, but make sure you don't skimp or leave gaps. random streaks of red look dumb!
(works so well my teenage daughter asked us to let her burn on last day of 7 days at the shore in FL! she wanted a burn to prove to her friends she really was at the beach!)
