(More customer reviews)It is VERY difficult to find a hi PPD sunscreen (measure of UVA rays = limited to European products at this time as most US sunscreens have low PPDs and SPF only measures UVB rays). I have melasma = hi PPD is a must to keep melasma from getting worse.I also use mineral makeup that contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. One of those 2 (can never remember which one) destabilizes avobenzone - one of the most common SS ingredients. Therefore, I"m limited to avobenzone-free SS for my face. Also, since oxybenzone is an endocrine disrupter, I want a SS that is free of that too. This version that I have is avobenzone and oxybenzone free and I love it - keeps my melasma from worsening, provides WONDERFUL protection (approx 28 - 30 PPD) along w/ the 50 spf. Doubles as my daily moisturizer and it dries to a nice matte finish which is perfect to go under my mineral makeup.However, Avene has d/c this version and their current product w/ the same name now contains Avobenzone = once my 3 tubes are gone, I will have to find another SS to use.
