Grape Solar Stem Cell Protection Cream with Spf30 Review

Grape Solar Stem Cell Protection Cream with Spf30

Literally, I'm a junkie for creams, moisturizers...skin care! I was attracted to this because I go to Metamorphosis Day Spa in NYC and they carry all of the Emerge products. This new one came out and I loved the name, so being a junkie, I bought it and wear it everyday. It's the first cream with SPF that doesn't make me break out and I love the smell. So, I use the Vitamin C serum and this over it!
Highly recommend this!

PhytoCellTecTM Solar Vitis is based on stem cells derived from a specific grape cultivar that has been obtained through our unique PhytoCellTecTM technology. As we all know UV radiation is responsible for 80% of skin aging. Despite the use of sun protection filters, toxins and free radicals are generated by UV in the skin. This affects sensitive cells such as the epidermal stem cells which are essential and most valuable. The activity of skin stem cells is the key factor in ensuring the vitality and regeneration capacity of the skin. PhytoCellTecTM Solar Vitis both protects and maintains the activity of epidermal stem cells - even in cases of stress induced by UV.

Ahava Sun Protection Anti-Aging Facial Moisturizer, SPF 50, 2.1-Ounces Review

This product was good for my sensitive skin, as it did not give me any reaction. Although I wanted it as a daily moisturizer with high protection. It is too thick to put on my face and it left me looking white! I looked ghostly, quite unflattering!

This cosmetically elegant, all-physical sunblock contains 5% transparent zinc oxide and 10% titanium dioxide, two non-irritating active ingredients ideal for use on all skin types. Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense Spf 50 Facial Moisturizer, 1.7-Ounce (Pack of 2) Review

Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense Spf 50 Facial Moisturizer, 1.7-Ounce (Pack of 2)

The CETAPHIL UVA/UVB DEFENSE SPF 50 MOISTURIZER is pretty thick, so all you need is a little dab to cover the entire face.
The product claims to be "fragrance-free" but it smells just like every other sunscreen out there. That "sunscreen" plastic scent is really strong at first, but it went away after about 3-5 minutes or so.
I found the cream left a shiny-sheen on my face, though it wasn't oily and it's supposed to be "non-greasy," but I definitely had some shine going on.
Another thing I noticed was the thick-white color of the CETAPHIL UVA/UVB cream--probably from the titanium-dioxide--left my face with an ashen(ashy) color and I have very light olive-colored skin. But I've seen this happen with other sunscreens out there with an SPF higher than 25, so it's not unusual. But if you're dark-complected it can be a problem. Even if you aren't, these thick sunscreens start to cake after reapplying and then turn white with perspiration so be forewarned.
It's not bad for the higher SPF--especially if you're going to be out in the sun like at a parade or ball game or something--but I find the CETAPHIL UVA/UVB MOISTURIZER to be just average.
The small 1.7 oz size is handy to carry around in a purse or pocket, but it's not so good at the current price! You can get the same amount of UVA/UVB protection from Coppertone SPF # 50 Oil-Free Fragrance-Free 8 oz. for less money and more product.

Neutrogena Healthy Defense Oil-Free Sunblock Lotion, SPF 45, 4 Ounce (Pack of 2) Review

I needed a good sunblock for my face year round, and this is not it. Though it smells nice, otherwise it was a disappointment.
I don't have oily skin, its pretty dry in the cheek/forehead area - but I figured oil-free isn't a bad idea and I looked for something that said it wouldn't clog pores. The largest downside to this stuff is: REALLY shiny, greasy(despite saying non-greasy formula on the bottle) and slick and in the summer, it just wasn't comfortable for me. I felt my hair getting caught on my face because it was so greasy when you start to sweat. For sunscreen to be effect you're suppose to use a healthy dollop, but I was only using a tiny 1/2 pea size. Instead of continuing use I handed this off to my boyfriend and purchased a coppertone sunscreen especially used for faces and its much better, though I plan to eventually just get a moisturizer with built in 30 SPF or greater. Look elsewhere if you need this for your face! If it's for the occasional beach visit, its fine and the high 45 SPF is great though you should go even higher.
