As someone who has a family history of skin cancer, my dermatologist insists that I use a product with a *physical* barrier, not just chemical ones that wear off quickly. She favors zinc oxide, and this is one of only a few easy-to-find, moderately priced sunscreens that contain it - regular Coppertone Water Babies doesn't, so make sure you are picking up the "Pure & Simple" version. The ZO does make your skin very white when you first put in on. It takes a bit of rubbing to get it worked in, but the results are very worth it. No sunburns for any of us, and it holds up well to swimming and sweating (we reapply ever couple of hours, of course :) It's not greasy and doesn't irritate my son's sensitive skin. I hope Coppertone makes this product forever!
