1. I love the smell of lavender--it's a very soothing and relaxing scent.
2. It has SPF 15 or 18--perfect for daily use and, after having had skin cancer, a real need for me.
3. It's organic and not tested on animals--less 'chemically' than run of the mill moisturizers.
After 2 weeks of daily (1-2x day) use, I was concerned that the oils used would cause breakouts--my skin has actually gotten better after using this lotion! I had suffered for many many years with folliculitis (infected hair follicle) in my eyebrows--that has almost completely cleared up in 2 weeks of using this, more than YEARS of topical antibiotics have ever helped! Even though I grow lavender in my garden (lavender stalks keep birdbaths cleaner longer), I had forgotten the antiseptic qualities it has, which I never correlated to actually clearing up my skin. I have also used the lavender hand and body lotion, which also smells fantastic, but doesn't seem to have the 'staying power' the facial moisturizer has. I am definitely going to be getting more of the Avalon Organics Lavender products to keep my skin looking and feeling great!
