It is thick but easy to apply all over their little selves. They had a slight whitish tinge to their skin until it absorbed. However, they played in the full sun and water for several hours everyday and did not burn in the least. In fact, they both came home with tans.
This company was one of just a few that passed the Environmental World Groups study of sunblocks. It is completely safe for children. The company has also signed the "Compact for Safe Cosmetics" so you can feel very good about buying their products.
The lotion (not the unscented) has a lovely, citrusy aroma that we all liked, too.
