(More customer reviews)I ordered this stuff after seeing it advertised on a morning talk show. It was a waste of money.
I regularly use tan moisturizers and sometimes sunless tan spray (i.e. Sun Love, Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer, Toma's airbrush tan, Neutrogena, and Salon Bronze, etc.) When using, I personally have to use self tanner after showering and at night, then shower again the following morning because almost all self tanners or tan moisturizers have a smell to them and although not awful, it's not great. I was really excited for this product and crossed my fingers it would work.
Well, it doesn't. It smells weird and cheap (like a light rose musk + chemical smell), and although that smell is bad, it STILL does not cover the sunless tan smell. In fact, I think it makes it a little worse, (self tanner + light rose musk + chemical smell = gross.) I decided pretty quickly that I would take the self tanner smell over this stuff. This stuff just stinks.
I had a friend try it too and she agrees. It stinks and doesn't even do what it's supposed to.
Unfortunately, I can't return it because they have a 7 day return policy that says you can't use/try the stuff if you're returning it. It has to be returned immediately unused.
Take my advice, skip this one. I've found I like Victoria Secret's Body By Victoria Spray "The Body Mist" better to help cover lingering self tan smell. Hope this helps!

(More customer reviews)I am very fair skinned and have been using self tanning lotions, mousses etc. for years only to come up with marginal results. I purchased this system expecting that I would probably use it for the summer and at the end of the season put it in the closet to be replaced by the next "great" advancement in self tanning.
I am pleased to say this will not be the case with this system because I absolutely love it!!! My friend (who is also very fair skinned) and I sprayed one another top to bottom and we patiently waited until morning to see the results. We were both delighted! We were prepared for orange, blotchy or streaky color and what we got was a smooth, even, natural looking tan!! The tan lasts for several (5-7) days and is super easy to apply. I do however suggest getting a friend to spray your back as it is a little difficult to reach by yourself.
I cannot speak for how this product will work for someone who is already somewhat tan or has a darker complection, but if you are fair skinned I think you will love this system as much as Marilyn and I do!
By the way, the smell is TERRIFIC! Rather than a self tanner smell, this system's solution smells like a day on a tropical beach!

HA! a joke, it's disgusting, the foam comes out in a liquid form and it's SO tinted that it comes out in splotches all over you, it smells worse than any other tanner I've ever tried, I ended up washing it off. It's a complete rip off. I'm pissed I bought 2 bottles of this to expecting a lot more from California tan. Do not waste your money on this, find something.....anything else.

(More customer reviews)I have to say this tanning solution is really great! It looks very natural and not orange and it does'nt streak. My fiance has an airbrush gun and applied it on me. When you first put it on it my look a little bloche in certain spots and look really dark, but wait about 8 hours and when you take a shower it looks like a real natural tan. My tan came out even all over. The smell is pleasant and you only should use about 3 oz per application.

(More customer reviews)I love this tanning moisturizer! I was using the regular lotion, and was frustrated with how long it took both to put on and to dry. This is SO fast, and dries so quickly that my only complaint is that it sometimes dries TOO quickly. It works best right after I shower, so that the lotion doesn't absorb before I'm finished rubbing it in. There is minimal smell at first and almost nothing once it dries. There is no lingering sticky feeling, only a light silky feel to my skin. My favorite part is how much longer it seems to last - the lotion wasn't lasting a full 2 weeks for a bottle. I've been using the foaming moisturizer for a week now and it still feels full. The color is really natural - I can't see any difference from the lotion. Love it!

(More customer reviews)I will never again expose my skin to another tanning bed! I am in love with this product!! I have tried so many self-tanners and, like most other reviewers, was turned off by the orange oompa-loompa look they almost inevitably give. Well, no more! This product gives me a beautiful golden color without a hint of orange. It looks exactly like a suntan is supposed to look! I have extremely fair skin that burns quite easily, so it takes me almost all summer to finally end up with a tan. Now, I don't have to hassle. I just spray it on!! I have used this product for 2 years and will never buy anything else. This is so much better than even the expensive department store brands. Here is my process for a streak-free, never blotchy, always beautiful glow:
1. Shower and exfoliate. Get all the dead skin off or you will have blotches.
2. After showering, pull hair off of face. I use a head band and a pony to keep it off my neck and face.
3. Make sure you are completely dry. If water drips on you after you apply the product you will have drip marks.
4. Apply GENEROUS amounts of lotion to your elbows, knees, top toes, in between toes, tops of fingers and in between fingers.
5. Put on a pair of disposable gloves.
6. Lay a towel down on the floor and get back in the shower.
7. Starting with the back of legs and working up, hold the can as far away from your body as possible (12 inches... no less) Make quick back and forth motions up your body until you reach your butt. Quickly do the outsides of your legs. Doing this quickly is the key to no blotches so only go over each area once. It will feel like you aren't really putting hardly anything on.. you don't need to! If you want a darker tan, you can repeat later.
8. Next, do your shoulders then arch your back to reach it. Again, holding can as far from your body as possible.
9. Lift your arms one at a time to do each of your sides.
10. Lift your chin and starting at your neck, go quickly back and forth over the front of your body.
11. You do NOT need to spray the tops of your feet. TRUST me on this! Enough product is landing there on its own.
12. VERY quickly and holding the can almost completely arms length away, give your face a spray while holding your breath.
13. Step out of the shower and onto the towel. If you have any spots you sprayed too much product on, rub it in now.
14. Lift the edge of the towel up and rub all the lotion off your feet and toes, then your knees, and then your elbows.
15. Take off the gloves and with the lotion still on, hold your hands inside your shower and give them a QUICK one time spray.
16. Rub the lotion off of your hands with the towel.
17. Wait 10 minutes to dress and enjoy your beautiful tan!!
I typically put this on every 2 or 3 days to keep my golden glow. If you want darker, just apply daily until you reach the desired color and then go every 2 or 3 days to maintain.

I have sprayed it through body paint air brush but found better application with a gravity fed automotive paint sprayer. That set up provided great atomization and easy even application. Best to have an over spray screen or spray out doors. For best results I suggest you do not shower for at least 12-24 hrs. It doesn't smell of chemical or fake tan AT ALL and lasts for almost a week. Great bronze color with no orange-ish look. Its great because the tan color of the solution is easy to apply because you can see where its going. Works great with my AirGlow spray tan gun.

The product is great, loved it. I have been going to spray tan salons for years. Love the fact that I can do it myself, on my time. I bought the airbrush and the solution. Great. The solution is awesome. The medium leaves a slight red look, like you tanned, but got a little too much sun. Looks so much more natural than the rub on stuff! If you are looking for a solution, you have found it. I search for the best deal, and the price from TCP Global Corp is the BEST!!!
