The moisturizing isn't nearly as good as that of other products, and on top of that, there is a gritty feel on your lips after you apply it. It goes on white, which I'm not fond of either. You can rub it in so that the white doesn't show, but it's an annoyance. I assume the white color and possibly the grittiness, too, is the sunscreen. You can get more moisturizing and sunscreen benefits with a tube of Chapstick.

Burt's Bees Lifeguard's Choice Weatherproofing Lip Balm , .15-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 6) Review

(More customer reviews)The feeling of this balm is thicker and more waxy/gummy than the regular Burt's Bees lip balm (which I love and use regularly), and is the best balm I've tried in protecting your lips from extremely harsh environmental conditions. Not the best choice for everyday, however, when in a more moderate, normal environment, and more conscious of your appearance in front of others. It will turn your lips, and skin around your lips that the balm touches, white (or at least paler in comparison to the rest of you) probably due to sunscreen ingredients. I still recommend Burt's Bees regular balm, or any of their others (honey, pomegranate, medicated) as I've tried them all and have had no problem with any except this one. If you were looking at this for a balm with sunscreen, I would recommend trying other brands, unless you don't mind the clownish white ring around your mouth. Kiss My Face makes some organic SPF 15 balms that I enjoy, and don't turn my lips white.

(More customer reviews)This is the best chapstick ever. I love that it has sunscreen. My lips can be cracked and bleeding when I don't have it, and healed in a couple of days when I use it. I am one of those chapstick addicts and have tried just about every kind. This one is by far my favorite. It is getting harder and harder to find anymore though. I found that Walgreens carries it and Ace Hardware (near the checkout) of all places does too, but not Walmart or any of my local grocery stores.

I'm plagued with extremely dry lips (due to the bad habit of biting them when I think)...so I was always trying different lip balms to heal my chapped lips. Chapstick tastes terrible, I can taste it when I bite my lip, and has never really done the trick for me (honestly don't know why they've been so successful); and Soft Lips is the worst..."soft lips" is a lie. I've tried every product I've come across, and Natural Ice Cherry Flavor is by far the BEST. On contact, my lips are grateful. The relief is incredible. The only problem is the only place I've found that carries it is Rite Aid, and even then it's only by luck that I find it there. Why is this so hard to find???? The company needs to find a new outside sales person to push the product in more stores......consumers would rejoice once they were enlightened by the awesome powers this lip balm provides. When I do find it, I buy 10+ sticks, I can't get enough! I introduce all of my friends to it too, they want to know where to get it. Good thing there's a connection here at Amazon, don't know what I would do if I couldn't find it anywhere else. Buy this stuff you won't regret it!
