Although looking dark in the bottle it gives a nice and natural "tan" color that fits with any skin color and I simple put on some ORGINS compact powder ever so light and I've been told my skin looks flawless and it's so not. I must have.

I have tried everything including sclerotherapy (saline solution injected into veins) and nothing worked. I saw this in the drugstore and thought I might as well give it a try. The only color that I have tried is the tan glow. I have very fair skin with freckles. The tan glow looks great on my legs in the summer. It was not too dark or orange for my skin tone. It just looks like I have a little color and my spider veins are covered so well that I finally feel like I can wear shorts and not be self conscious. I'm so glad that someone has come out with a product like this, I don't know what I would do without it!!!!

The best part is that it works!... tans me fast and is very easy to apply as it's not too thick. Moisturizing too! Lasts a long time and fades more naturally than any other tanner/bronzer I've ever used. Now I can have a nice dark tan or just a little color all year long, whatever I want. Too cool!!! Glad I'm 'stocked up'!!!

Over the past years, I have noticed more and more tanning salons have stopped carrying Matahari. Many employees told me that the product was not being manufactured any more.. Just goes to show you can not rely on anything a minimum wage person tells you.
I do not use this BEFORE my tan. I use it AFTER I tan. The bonzers are really intense and look great!
The fragrance is not too over bearing as some lotions can be...
This is my all time favorite lotion. I will not use another.

I've only used it once. My skin is amazingly soft! The smell is very clean and fresh..no ato. the color? ehh ok. But it's worth the $$$ just for a nice moisturising lotion. I keep it in my rotation :)

It has a soft slightly floral scent. A little goes a long way.
This lotion is wonderful to your skin. Hours after using it my skin is still soft, I can't help but touch it...lol
There is a slight bronzer in this so you have to have at least a base tan or it gives an odd color to your skin.
Once you have a tan though the bronzers are so slight all they really do is even the tans tone making your skin look kind of air brushed.
I want to mention I do not use an accelerator with bronzers and my tan (although bed) is all real. I am very fair skinned naturally and burn easily. So hopefully this helps you girls out with some info.

I had been going for about a month without using any type of lotion and decided that I just wasn't getting as dark as I would like to be. So, I purchased this lotion on a first-time basis to give it a try. After my first tan with the lotion, I immediately noticed a difference. I was already tan, but this put me at the next level - I now feel like I don't have to go as often, but I'm still getting the results that I want. Not to mention - I love the smell of it too! I don't smell like a tanning bed when I get out ... If you're thinking about this lotion, definitely give it a try!

(More customer reviews)I admit that it was the Indian/Yoga marketing theme of this line that sold me. I'm really into that stuff but I wish I hadn't bought a whole bottle of this lotion: you might as well apply straight self-tanner and get in the tanning bed because that's what you will smell like when you get out.
California Tan is a decent brand. Not as nice as Designer Skin or Swedish Beauty but better than most. I don't know what they did wrong here but most bronzing tanning lotions do not smell as much like self-tanner as this one does.
I also dislike the consistency: it's very runny.

Though I love trying out new lotions, and always do, I find myself going back to Matahari Dark Sexy Tan. I really havent used their other products but im sure they work wonderfully.
I love the scent, and the feel of this lotion.
Matahari is exotic, and really sexy. I havent been in a Tanning salon that didnt have this product on their shelves.
This lotion provides a beautiful, instant bronze. Be careful though, it will stain your hands and make them look orange. No one likes that! Thats with most Bronzers, of course.
Overall, you cant really go wrong with Matahari. ;)
